By creating an account or using Clickity Clack ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated under the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.
Clickity Clack is a marketplace platform that connects dog owners ("Owners") with dog walkers ("Walkers"). We facilitate bookings, payments, and communication but are not a party to the service agreement between Owners and Walkers. Walkers are independent service providers, not employees of Clickity Clack.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Each person may maintain one Owner account and/or one Walker account. Accounts are not transferable.
Owners are responsible for: providing accurate information about their dogs (health conditions, behavioral issues, special needs), ensuring dogs are up to date on vaccinations, providing safe access for walkers, and paying invoices within 7 days of completion. Overdue invoices may restrict the ability to book new walks.
Walkers are responsible for: providing walks as agreed in booking contracts, maintaining GPS tracking during walks, submitting walk reports with at least one photo, treating all dogs with care and professionalism, and reporting any incidents immediately. Walkers set their own rates, schedules, and service areas.
Booking requests are not confirmed until accepted by the walker. Walkers may counter-offer with different terms (up to 2 counter-offers per booking). Either party may cancel with at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the walk rate.
Owners pay the walk rate set by the walker. A small platform fee (1%) is deducted from the walker's payout to support platform operations. Payment processing fees (Stripe: 2.9% + $0.30 CAD) are also deducted from the walker's payout. All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Tips are optional and 100% go to the walker.
GPS tracking is mandatory during all walks. Walk reports including route, duration, distance, photos, and walker notes are generated automatically. Short duration or low movement flags may be generated for quality assurance.
Owners may leave public reviews for walkers after completed walks. Walkers may respond to reviews. Walkers may leave private ratings for owners visible only to other walkers. All reviews must be honest and non-defamatory.
Clickity Clack is a platform facilitator and is not liable for: injuries to dogs, walkers, or third parties during walks, property damage, disputes between owners and walkers, or the quality of walking services. Owners and walkers use the platform at their own risk. We recommend walkers carry appropriate insurance.
We do not mediate disputes between Owners and Walkers, nor do we issue refunds or money returns in the event of Walker fraud or failure to provide services. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Clickity Clack is only liable in the event of a direct system error that improperly charges an Owner or fails to payout a Walker.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for: violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, repeated no-shows, abuse or harassment, or any conduct that endangers the safety of dogs or people. Users may delete their account at any time through the app settings.
We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved through the courts of Ontario.
